A portion of all sales (typically about 10%) will be donated to the American Cancer Society to help fund both research to help find a cure and end cancer once and for all, and Hope Lodges.
If you would like to know more about some of the amazing progress in cancer research and in clinical trials, check out one of my other sites, Cancer Research Blogs.
What are Hope Lodges? The American Cancer Society provides Hope Lodges as a free place for cancer patients and their caregivers to stay when they have to travel for their treatment.
The American Cancer Society also offers tremendous help and support for cancer patients, caregivers, and survivors including oncology nurses available to talk to 24/7, information pamphlets covering a vast range of topics that can be extremely valuable, some you might even consider priceless (I could name quite a few that were priceless to me, especially during my first cancer and now, 10 years later, as a survivor of two cancers). To get an idea of how vast this wealth of information is, see Treatment & Support at the American Cancer Society.
If you would like to get involved personally, there are lots of ways that you can, but one great way is to get involved with your local Relay For Life (I am a volunteer with our local Relay as a member of the Event Leadership Team and Team Captain for the Survivor Team).
There are lots of other ways you can get involved, of course (see Get Involved at the American Cancer Society).
